Co-Course Director - Dr. McKenzie practices full scope oral and maxillofacial surgery in the greater Nashville area as the owner of Mid-State Oral Surgery and Implant Center. He received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University and completed his Doctor of Medicine and surgical residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. 

During his time at UAB, he participated in teaching and supervising for the moderate sedation course offered through the university. He also completed 5 months of anesthesia training, including 1 month of pediatric anesthesia during his Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery residency. He served as an Attending of an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery internship at Oral Surgical Institute. He holds a general anesthesia permit in the state of Tennessee. Dr. McKenzie is board certified by the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and performs hundreds of office-based anesthetics every year.
